GEMS @ EU-HYBNET, Valencia, Spain

On April 24, 2024, the GEMS project participated in the EU-HYBNET consortium's 4th Annual Workshop, held in Valencia, Spain. The workshop, organized by the Valencia Local Police in collaboration with EU-HYBNET consortium members, served as a platform for disseminating information related to hybrid threats across Europe.

Bledar Feta from ELIAMEP represented GEMS at this event. The presentation aimed to provide an update on the project's progress and insights into its research findings. This session was part of the workshop's broader agenda, which focuses on fostering collaboration among European security practitioners, academics, industry representatives, and small and medium enterprises to address hybrid threats.

The GEMS presentation was well-received by an audience comprising policymakers, academic researchers, and representatives from civil society organizations. The engagement at the workshop facilitated a deeper understanding of the GEMS project’s role and contributions within the larger context of European security initiatives.

Additionally, the event provided an opportunity for networking and establishing potential collaborations. Discussions during the workshop emphasized the importance of the research being conducted by GEMS, with several stakeholders expressing interest in further exploring the themes introduced.

The workshop outcomes are expected to contribute to ongoing efforts in standardizing and industrializing innovative security solutions within the EU. Details and additional resources from the workshop, including presentations and informational materials, are accessible through the EU-HYBNET website and associated social media channels (X account link).
